A framed gouache painting of Yeibichai dancer by Harrison Begay(1932-2012). Harrison was a prolific painter of his time. He created flat style paintings using Navajo themes. Most of his work depicts Navajo people, Ceremonial figures and animals. In this piece it shows a Yeibichai dancer. This dancer is part of the Nightway ceremony which is held during the winter months. It is usually performed to heal a sick individual. This piece measures 19 1/4 inches in length and 15 1/4 inches wide. It is signed on the bottom.
