In Santa Fe, The Museum of Indian Art & Culture is reopening its permanent exhibit with a celebration!
One of the most important things we can do to support Native American arts and culture is to help the museums that share that information with the world.
This difficult time for museums has forced employee layoffs and canceled exhibitions. Many museums have lost donors.
The Museum of Indian Art and Culture is breaking this trend by opening a permanent collection this weekend. They will have artist demonstrations, music, and Native food and dances. Here’s the schedule of events on Saturday and Sunday. If you are in the Santa Fe area, I think you will enjoy it. The exhibit is permanent, so you can visit it whenever you are in town.
The Museum of Indian Arts & Culture is located on Museum Hill at 710 Camino Lojo off Old Santa Fe Train in Santa Fe.
