We carry a lot of nice Nativity sets from different Pueblo Artists, both old and new. Occasionally, we receive one that is unique.

The first Nativity sets were made at Cochiti Pueblo, and we have a lovely collectible set by the famed potter Helen Cordero, the woman who first made storyteller dolls.

Helen Cordero Nativity Set

On the other end of the spectrum, we have a fun set that was made by Robin Teller from Isleta Pueblo, south of Albuquerque. She is the daughter of Stella Teller, an award-winning potter whose work is widely known and respected.

Robin Teller Nativity Set

Robin was born in 1954 and specializes in figurative work. She doesn’t often create Nativity scenes. She went all out on this one and included animals, people, a dwelling that looks a lot like a Navajo Hogan, and a polar bear rug for the Baby Jesus to recline on!  The set was probably put together about ten years ago and, to be honest, the polar bear rug in the set may have been added by a previous owner, but I like it!
