Papago Small Tray Baseket, CBASSM13-07

A Papago basket tray with handles made out of beargrass, yucca, and devil's claw. The techniques and designs used are common with the Pima tribe since they also live along the Gila river. This design is coyote tracks and is made out devil's claw. This basket has some discoloration from age and has some wear in the yucca wraps. There is also a black stain on the bottom of the basket. It still holds its shape and has a consistent weave. A handcrafted basket to add to your collection.
