  • This is a Tohono O'odham (Papago) basket that is woven into a tray with handles. The basket is made out of beargrass and wrapped with yucca. The black stepped design with the laced rim is made out of devil's claw. That material is very strong and helps keep the shape. This basket has some discoloration in the yucca strips. The bottom side has a yellow hue whereas the front side has a pale yellow. The overall piece is intact and has no breakage. Its a handmade basket to add to your collection.
