  • Ida Sahmie is an award winning Navajo artist who was born and raised in Pine Springs, AZ. She is well known for using Navajo designs and Hopi techniques in her pottery. The specific pot is traditionally made, with hand coiled clay that comes directly from the Navajo Nation. Ida uses natural vegetable paints to place Yei figures and Navajo wedding baskets on the top of the jar. The pot measures 6 3/4" tall, the circumference of the pot measures 24" and the diameter of the opening measures 2 1/2".
