  • A Wide Ruins Navajo weaving ca 1940's measuring 5 foot 3 inches by 8 foot by 5 inches.  All hand spun wool in natural colors and vegetal dyes in cream, grey, pink and a pale sage green.  From the Sallie Wagner Lippincott collection, she bought the trading post at Wide Ruins in the late 1930's and established the Wide Ruin Trading Post style of banded weavings in natural and vegetal colors.  This weaving has some staining.
