A Navajo weaving by Nora Silago. The wool is dyed with aniline dyes. This design resembles a wearing blanket. It has the linear bands with the diamond shapes. These designs are seen in Navajo Chief style weavings. It has the Spider Woman crosses that represent the oral story of how Spider Woman taught weavers how to weave. This piece measures 55 inches in length and 34 inches wide. This piece is in excellent condition.
