Navajo Weaving - Geanita John, 006310

"My Mom wove Yei rugs, so I put the Yeis in as a tribute to her", Geanita John.  Geanita weaves traditional style Navajo Pictorial weavings showing the Navajo Nation and her surroundings.  Sometimes she will include a train and other animals, in this weaving she has put Yeis in the sky to honor her mother who was the first person she used to watch weave and an old style pattern at the bottom to honor her grandmother.
