  • All hand-spun wool in natural dark brown, creamy white, light blond, and aniline red. This 1930s Chinle weaving is in good condition for its age, with minor stains and missing corner tassels. The soft, hand-spun wool gives the textile a blanket weight and supple feel.

This piece  was placed on consignment in 2024 through Jackson Clark of Toh-Atin Gallery. In correspondence, Clark noted that he had previously handled a weaving by what he believed to be the same weaver, originating from the Sally Lippincott collection and gifted to her by Cozy McSparron. He also referenced a possible connection to the California gallery “White Eyes,” owned by Bill and Thea Connelly.

While not definitively attributed, these associations provide a compelling and informed provenance context for the piece.
