Navajo Rug-1960's Yei, C006439

Natural brown, cream and heather grey are mixed with some vegetal and aniline dyes to create this large simple Yei weaving.  Earlier Navajo rugs made with hand spun yarns tended to have bolder simpler designs and this falls in that category.  The soft thick wool lends itself to these simpler designs and the bold burgundy with the black and white are very attractive.  Measuring 4 1/2 feet by 6 feet  this would be great on the floor or wall.
