Navajo Rug -Klagetoh ca 1930s, C007050

All hand spun wool in natural colors with an aniline red from the 1930s.  This early Klagetoh rug has a wonderful variegated field from the hand spinning of mixing browns, grey and white fleece together. The four sacred mountains are in the corners and the central diamond is starting to take a distinctive shape that becomes more layered and complex in modern weavings.
