Joe Cajero is a sculpture and jewelry artist that has a deep respect for his subjects. This regal eagle is perched on a mountain peak that has some petroglyphs carved into it. Pueblo people have shrines on certain mountain peaks and this eagle has landed on the shrine that has images of a raincloud, lightning, rainbow, corn, the sun, the moon, a star, a hunter and the yin/yang energies. Joe is expressing the sacredness and connectedness of the spirit of the eagle, the human experience and the ancient ones.
