Katsina - Hopi "White Chin" by Chester Poleyestewa, KCP24-05

A Hopi "White Chin" katsina by Chester Poleyestewa. This katsina is an older katsina that hasn't appear in long time. This katsina can appear during any dance. Also, is know to be the bringer of rain. This piece is carved out of cottonwood root. It is painted over with paint that comes from natural pigments. It measures 11 inches in height and 3 inches wide. A new addition to the gallery. This piece is signed at the bottom.
