This basket has an open stitch weave that forms into a tray. The basket tray is made out of beargrass and yucca plant. The Tohono O'odham and Pima tribes share similar techniques and often difficult to tell apart. The tribes share the same location which is near the Gila river that cuts through Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. This basket is in good condition and has no damage. An elegant piece to add to your collection.
