Tohono O'odham lidded basket Ca 1920s, CBASMBG16-28
Tohono O'odham basket with lid that is dated around 1920s. This basket was started with a four square knot on both lid and basket. It is made out of yucca, beargrass, and devil's claw which are typical materials used for this region. Also, these techniques are shared with the Pima tribes since they live along the Gila river. The lid has a snug fit and can be used to contain some items. It does have some wear in color and material but still in good shape. A beautiful basket to add to your collection.
