This is a Tohono O'odham basket made out of beargrass, yucca and devil's claw. The techniques used are shared with the Pima tribe as well since they live along the Gila river. The design is a star shape made with yucca and line with devil's claw. The basket has a four knot square start and merges into a coiling method. The rim has a lace stitch made out of yucca. The coloring of the yucca is achieved a drying method used for variety. This basket has no damage or breaks. A beautiful basket to add to your collection.
