Papago Basket Ca.1930s, CBBM6-15

A Papago tapered basket that is dated around 1930s. This basket is made out of beargrass, yucca, and devil's claw. The design is a fret design that is made out of devil's claw. This basket's rim is unfinished and has a 'ticking' method used. The unfinished rim gives an idea of how a basket looks on the inside of the coiling . It is a very sturdy basket with little wear. A fine basket to add to your collection.
