This wonderful collection of Native American art, primarily from the Southwest, was assembled by a former schoolteacher who worked in the Gallup and Zuni areas during his career. He started collecting the pieces as a child and always felt a draw towards handcrafted Native American art.
Originally from the Midwest, he was exposed to Indian art during his parents' vacations. They encouraged his interest, sometimes helping him with a dollar or two to make small purchases.
It was a difficult decision for him after 6 decades of collecting, but he has decided to pass the collection on to people who will treasure and appreciate it as he has. He has enjoyed these treasures and has wonderful memories of his time living and working with the Pueblo and Navajo people.
He hopes you enjoy them as well!

$1,000.00We have been visiting and shopping at Toh-Atin for over twenty years. Always loved visiting with Jackson and his mother. We would spend hours gathering information on rugs, jewelry, and baskets- what a tremendous inventory. Everyone was so knowledgeable. We have so many memorable pieces. Jackson asked my husband, " How often do you get compliments on your tie?" We bought a very nice bolo! :)
We had just seen and visited with Jackson two weeks earlier and were so saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. What a loss to friends, family, and community. Our deepest condolences to his family and to the staff.
