  • Nicolasa Naranjo of Santa Clara Pueblo was the daughter of Tomacita and Agapito Naranjo and granddaughter of Sara Fina Tafoya and a cousin of Margaret Tafoya. She has been recognized for her pottery making, mostly blackware and occassional redware. She collaborated with her daughter Roberta in her later career after 1946. This piece has a avanyu serpent around the pot with a signature on the bottom. This piece has a few scuffs but no cracks and still in good condition. Its thick walls and smooth surface where the designs have been made are done with precision. A handcrafted piece to add to your collection.
