Hand coiled, pit or Horno fired and stone polished pottery is the tradition of the Northern New Mexico Pueblos and they make some of the most beautiful and collectible pottery in the West. Nicolasa Naranjo (1907-2002) comes from a long line of distinguished potters from the Santa Clara Pueblo. Later in her career she was known to work with her daughter Roberta Naranjo. The unique shape of this vessel is very attractive, almost a triangle form and shows innovative craftsmanship and expertise. The geometric surface design is the same on all three sides.
