A Jemez Pueblo bear pot by Mary Small. This piece is handmade with gathered clays and natural paint. Mary Small uses a unique gray slip that is seen in most of her work. The Turquoise stone in the piece is natural. It measures 4 inches in height, 6 inches in length and 3 1/2 inches wide. Mary Small that makes her pottery traditionally. The signature is found on the inside of the bear. It is in good shape.
