  • Richard Red Owl was born in 1940 on the PIne Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. He is a self taught artist and researched different styles and artist. He enjoys to work with acrylic paint on canvas. He compares the warm color paints to the characteristics of Lakota Sioux people. He has shown his work in various areas that includes the Red Cloud Art Show in Pine Ridge. He has acquired awards for his work and continues to make paintings. 

    This is a print, called, "Warrior's victory celebration" and has a signature with a date: 3-89. This print has beautiful usage of bright colors. It is has an abstract feel with detail in the figures. A print to add to your collection.
