  • A banded Wide Ruins weaving attributed to L. Lee, ca the 1940s, from the collection of Sallie Wagner Lippincott.  Lippincott is recognized as creating the vegetal banded style, that the Wide Ruins area is known for to this day. It is much larger than most vegetal dye weavings made today measuring 9'10" x 5'.  All hand-spun wool in cream, warm grays, dark brown, and vegetal golden yellow and a salmon terra cotta.
