  • Alberta Thomas won a Blue Ribbon at the New Mexico State Fair in 1975 for this Sandpainting weaving. Alberta started weaving in the 1950s and at the age of 10 she sold her 1st weaving for $5.00. In the 1960s she and her family started weaving the ceremonial Chant designs.  With their technical excellence and detailed Navajo ceremonial designs their work became extremely valuable and collectable woks of art. This Sandpainting weaving from 1975 is in excellent condition and is sold with the original tag and the Blue Ribbon.
