The J.B. Moore weaving is an adaptation of Plate XXX from his catalog of Navajo weaving published in 1911. It was designed by a weaver named Bi-leen Al-pai-bi-zha-Ahd. Moore's catalog was one of the first efforts by a trader to market Navajo weavings successfully. This weaving dates from the 1910-20 time period. It is woven with hand spun wool and uses natural wool colors. It measures 117" by 67 1/2" and is in excellent condition.
