A Burntwater Navajo weaving by El Van Winkle from Chinle AZ. This weaving has commercially processed and dyed wool (aniline to look like vegetal). It has seven warps and thirty-eight wefts (doubled) per inch. It was purchased from Hubble Trading Post, Ganado AZ, on May 25, 1996. The colors are soft and earthy tones that match well with pottery. A nice floor piece or even a hanging piece.
