Sandy Begay is one of the five original Burnham sisters that weave their own unique style of Navajo rugs. This is a very finely spun and dyed wool textile that took Sandy months to create. The center of the weaving is a Two Grey Hills pattern and then on each side is a Yei figure surrounded by feathers. It takes decades of weaving to achieve a textile of this quality in fineness and detail. Sandy has been practicing for over 40 years and is a master of her craft.
