  • Germantown wool came down to the trading posts from Germantown, PA in the late 1800's to the early 1900's.  This three ply wool was highly desired for the colors and the crisp designs it gave the weavers. This weaving has natural brown and white wool and the red and rust are aniline dye. The simplicity of this large floor weaving is very striking and it would also make a handsome wall hanging.  The five by seven size is perfect for decorating the wall, floor or as a bed cover.
