  • Arthur Begay is from Newcomb, New Mexico. He attended Santa Fe Indian Art Institute and later won a fellowship to study under Norman Rockwell. Begay painted a lot of social scenes of Navajo life and portraits. He is described as a humble man who had no desire for fame or acknowledgement. This is one of his portraits of a Navajo man dressed traditional. A historical painting to add to your collection.
