The great strength of this katsina has led many to believe that he can heal the
sick. He often appears at Soyal on First Mesa as a side dancer or watchman of
Chakwaina. Additionally, he might come alone or in a group during Powamuya,
and can appear in a few different colors. He is most familiar from the Mixed
Katsina Dance (Wright, Kachinas: a Hopi artist’s documentary, 114).
