Jemez Pueblo Dog Pottery, Chris Fragua, POTCF17-03
Chris Fragua was born in 1943 in Jemez, he was taught the art of clay by his mother, Grace Fragua and his Grandmother Emilia. Chris often gathers his clay from the grounds around the Pueblo of Jemez. He constructs his art in the traditional way and when whether permits, he fires outdoors. He concentrates on animal storytellers, such as cats, dogs, buffalo, and bears.
