Hopi-Tewa Pottery - Nellie Nampeyo, CPOTEPH12-4

4.25" diameter

2.5" H

Condition: Moderate

  • Nellie Nampeyo is one of the daughters of Nampeyo and sister to Fannie Polacca Nampeyo and Annie Healing Nampeyo. She was born in 1896 and passed in 1978. She bore eight children and passed knowledge down from her mother (Dillingham, pg.14)

This piece is a small bowl with a repeating design at the rim. It has thick walls that have been stone polished. The design has some scuffing. The piece has some yellowish hues from the firing process. The overall pot has no cracks and still whole. A historical piece to add to your collection.
