James King grew up in Shiprock NM and attended Salt Lake Community College Art school. He began to establish his own style after college and began to get his work into galleries. His work can be seen at Shiprock IHS and art galleries across the southwest. He creates stories on canvas that speaks to his audience and captures the beauty of the land and simplicity of life that exist now and before his time. He tries with every finish work to breathe life into a long forgotten even and lifestyle of Navajo people. This piece is and example of a healing ceremony. A medicine man is praying over a patient that is sitting on a sandpainting. The painting captures a moment that stands still in time. A unique piece to add to your collection.
