A Navajo buckle with Turquoise and silver sandcast by Wilson and Carol Begay. Each piece is created from a design that Wilson Begay carved out of a mold. He pours the silver into this piece and refines it before handing it off to Carol. Carol sets the stone and gives it a polish. This couple has been creating pieces for many years. The Turquoise they use is always natural. It measures 3 1/2 inches in length and 2 inches wide. This piece fits buckles that measures 1 1/2 inches wide. The hallmark: WB.

We have been visiting and shopping at Toh-Atin for over twenty years. Always loved visiting with Jackson and his mother. We would spend hours gathering information on rugs, jewelry, and baskets- what a tremendous inventory. Everyone was so knowledgeable. We have so many memorable pieces. Jackson asked my husband, " How often do you get compliments on your tie?" We bought a very nice bolo! :)
We had just seen and visited with Jackson two weeks earlier and were so saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. What a loss to friends, family, and community. Our deepest condolences to his family and to the staff.
