- A Navajo ceremonial basket. This basket measures 11 inches in diameter and is 3 1/2 inches in height. This basket is made out of Sumac splits and rods. The red an black have aniline dyes. This type of basket is used for various ceremonies. The most common are for weddings or puberty ceremonies. It is in good shape.
