Louise Yazzie comes from Arizona and she weaves several different styles of Navajo rugs from Storms to Ganado and the Klagetoh. Louise favors the classic color combination of red, black, white and grey. This beautiful Storm Pattern weaving has the center from which the lightening comes to the four sacred mountain ranges and the thunder is off to the side. Louise has chosen to use the chevron or squash blossom design instead of the traditional waterbugs. Always recreating the traditional like all artist do.
