A beautiful maiden like this can easily be recognized as the work of Jemez Pueblo artist Vera Fragua. Every piece of this maiden is hand coiled, painted and crafted with the help of a self made yucca brush. The maiden is seen holding three young pueblo children and they are all dressed in traditional clothing. Vera Fragua has signed the piece at the bottom. The maiden stands 3 3/4" tall, the widest point measures 2 1/4" and the base measures 2" by 2 1/2".
