Saturday, June 18th

At the Museum of Natural History of Utah in Salt Lake City

On Saturday, June 18, Toh-Atin Gallery will be traveling to Utah for our Annual Silent Auction and Sale of over 150 Navajo weavings. It will be a fun and interesting day at one of the most beautiful museums in the country.

The show opens at 10 am and museum admission is not required to attend. One of the special features of the auction is that, if a weaving does not have a bid placed on it, you can purchase it, on the spot, by paying 20 percent over the minimum bid.

Navajo rugs from all of the major weaving areas, in prices ranging from a few hundred dollars to $10,000, will be for sale. Weavings from Two Grey Hills, Teec Nos Pos, Ganado, Shiprock and more will be available, including some weavings we just purchased this week.

If you have weavings that you would like to know more about, Clark will be doing free evaluations from 10 am until 2 pm.

We can also give you guidance on the repair and cleaning of your pieces.

To help you learn about the art of weaving, Jackson Clark will be giving a short and interesting talk on weaving and the Navajo people at 3 pm.

The auction and sale will close at 4 pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase authentic, quality Navajo weaving at very extraordinary prices and to support the Museum of Natural History.

The Museum is located next to Red Butte Gardens in the Rio Tinto Center at 301 Wakara Way. For further information, please click the red link above, call the Museum at 801-581-6927 or Toh-Atin Gallery at 800-525-0394.
